The transportation geography of the shipping company covers the entire Russian Far East, as well as China, Korea, Japan and other regions of the northern part of the Asia-Pacific region. One of the key activities of the Sakhalin Shipping Company is servicing its regular lines, which carry out container transportation and connect various regions of the Russian Far East (Primorye, Sakhalin, Kamchatka and Magadan), as well as the ports of China and South Korea. According to Alphaliner data, the Sakhalin Shipping Company is in the top 100 largest sea container carriers in the world. More information about the Sakhalin Shipping Company can be found on its official websitewww.sasco.ru _
The purpose of creating JSC “SASKO-Navigator” within the group of companies was the organization of an enterprise specialized in multimodal and intermodal transportation, in particular, the organization of the delivery of containerized cargo by land transport to ports served by regular lines of the shipping company.
To achieve this goal, in the first year of its existence, the SASKO-Navigator company organized a regular block train “Moscow – Vladivostok” (in Moscow, the trains are formed at the Khovrino station, in Vladivostok – at the Cape Churkin and Ugolnaya stations ). To date, regular container trains of the SASKO-Navigator company depart from Moscow and Vladivostok twice a week.
Containers transported by train with coastal cargo in the port of Vladivostok are loaded onto ships of the Sakhalin Shipping Company and delivered to recipients in the Kamchatka Territory, Magadan and Sakhalin Regions, and with export cargo they are transported to the ports of China and South Korea (and through them to any point in the Asia-Pacific region). On the return journey, the train is loaded with containers with cargo transported by the shipping company’s ships from Kamchatka, Kolyma and Sakhalin and following to the mainland regions of the country, as well as import cargo delivered to Russia from Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, Busan and other major transshipment ports in Asia.
In addition to transportation on regular routes, SASCO-Navigator also organizes the transportation of any cargo (railway transportation, sea transportation, road transportation, as well as multimodal transportation and intermodal transportation) throughout Russia and around the world. The geography of logistics projects successfully implemented by the company covers the whole country – from Kaliningrad to Chukotka and from Murmansk to Novorossiysk.
Although the main service of SASKO-Navigator is the transportation of goods in full container lots, we are also actively developing services for regular groupage transportation of small lots. The combined routes “Moscow – Vladivostok”, “Moscow – Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk” are already operating, the company’s immediate plans include a significant expansion of the geography of such transportation.
A key feature of the transportation carried out by SASCO-Navigator is the maximum use of its own assets, as well as the assets of other members of the Sakhalin Shipping Company group of companies, this is its own fleet, own trains, containers, warehouses and vehicle fleet. These opportunities allow us to provide our customers with favorable rates for multimodal and intermodal transportation.
The head office of SASKO-Navigator is located in Moscow. Own additional offices operate in Vladivostok and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Permanent representatives of the company operate in Magadan and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, partner agency companies provide services in Shanghai and Seoul.
